Permanently elastic silicone sealant for engine and body. The Dirko HT sealant from Elring is suitable for permanent sealing of engines, transmissions, bodywork, crankcases, oil sumps, radiators, differentials, etc. It has very good adhesion to all common metals, cast iron, plastics (except PE, PP and PTFE) and glass. The sealant is characterised by a very wide range of applications. Technical Data: Curing: room temperature Colour: red Temperature range: -60°C to +300°C (on 24h up to 315°C) Maximum sealing gap: 2.0mm Skin forming time (23°C): 5-10 min Curing time (23°C): 24 h Instructions for use and application: Remove sealing residues and clean the sealing surfaces with solvent. Sealing surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil and grease before applying the sealant to ensure reliable sealing and adhesion. Application temperature (ambient/adhesive surface temperature): +5 to +35°C Apply sealant continuously and evenly. Remove too much applied sealant immediately, as there is a risk of it dripping into the interior. Depending on the application, the parts can be assembled immediately after application, after skin formation or after complete curing. Mount the parts according to the manufacturers instructions. Immediate sealing function is given. Close the sealant tightly again immediately after use.
